Meet our dedicated veterinary team, committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care for every pet in the Grants Pass community.
Dr. Scott Osgood serves as Medical Director at Grants Pass Community Veterinary Clinic, where he provides quarterly on-site visits along with ongoing expert medical guidance and support to our veterinary doctors and management team.
Dr. Osgood’s foundation in the sciences began at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 cum laude. He went on to pursue his passion for veterinary medicine at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton, Massachusetts, graduating in 1995 in the top 10% of his class. During his time at Tufts, he was inducted into Phi Zeta, the Veterinary Student Honor Society, recognizing his academic excellence. In 1994, he was also selected by The Ralston Purina Company for induction into the prestigious Veterinary Leadership Program, participating in their annual leadership event that same year.
Following graduation, Dr. Osgood completed one of the most competitive and rigorous post-doctoral internships in veterinary medicine and surgery at the world-renowned Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts — a distinction that set the standard for his career-long commitment to clinical excellence.
Dr. Osgood went on to build a distinguished career in private practice, including founding and operating his own relief veterinary business for two years. In October 2013, he followed his vision for patient-centered care by relocating to Hawaii, where he founded Island Mobile Vet — bringing high-quality, personalized veterinary medicine directly to pets and their owners in the comfort of their own homes.
We are proud to have Dr. Osgood’s wealth of knowledge and leadership guiding the medical standards at Grants Pass Community Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Johnson brings a wealth of experience, clinical versatility, and heartfelt dedication to the patients and families of Grants Pass Community Veterinary Clinic.
A proud product of the Midwest, Dr. Johnson earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She began her career in St. Louis, where she honed her clinical skills in general practice before her adventurous spirit drew her westward to the Pacific Northwest. There she spent the next several years deepening her expertise across a broad spectrum of veterinary care — from the high-stakes environment of emergency medicine to the deeply rewarding work of shelter medicine — developing a well-rounded, compassionate approach to patient care along the way.
In 2009, Dr. Johnson made Southern Oregon her permanent home, purchasing a small solo practice where she spent 13 dedicated years serving the pets and people of her close-knit community. That chapter of her career reflects what defines her most — a genuine commitment to knowing her patients, earning the trust of their families, and delivering exceptional medicine with a personal touch.
Dr. Johnson joins our team with a strong clinical focus on soft tissue surgery and urgent care, and a steadfast belief that quality, compassionate medicine should be accessible at every level of need. Her years of hands-on surgical experience and passion for continued growth in the operating room make her an invaluable asset to our medical team.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Johnson is happily kept in line at home by four cats and one beloved senior dog — a household that keeps her both humble and well-loved.
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Johnson’s talent and dedication to our team.
Dr. Greg Geitz brings a one-of-a-kind career story, a generous spirit, and a genuine love for animals of every kind to the team at Grants Pass Community Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Greg earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University and launched his career at an animal hospital in Anchorage, Alaska — a setting that would shape him into the resourceful, community-minded veterinarian he is today. He went on to join Alaska’s first low-cost nonprofit spay and neuter clinic, where he played a meaningful role in spaying and neutering thousands of pets statewide — a testament to his deep belief that quality veterinary care should be available to every animal, regardless of circumstance.
During this time, Dr. Greg also volunteered on the Mayor’s Animal Control Advisory Board, lending his voice and expertise to advocate for the welfare of shelter and community animals across the region.
Following his time at the spay and neuter facility, Dr. Greg channeled his experience and drive into building and operating his own full-service veterinary clinic in Anchorage — no small feat in a city where nature has a way of reminding you who’s really in charge.
He is also proud to hold his USDA Accreditation, reflecting his commitment to meeting the highest standards of veterinary practice and enabling him to provide health certificates and services for domestic and international animal travel.
After heroically digging himself out from under 12 feet of snow during the legendary winter storm of 2011 — and navigating his fair share of bear and moose encounters on the way to work — he decided the stunning landscapes of Oregon were calling his name.
These days, Dr. Greg happily trades snowdrifts for river rapids, mountain trails, and open road adventures, embracing everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. When he’s not exploring the outdoors, you might find him planning his next road trip or simply enjoying the kind of wide-open beauty that Southern Oregon does so well.
He lives in Grants Pass with a big heart for all animals and — full disclosure — a slight soft spot for the misunderstood cat. He is genuinely excited to be part of a community-minded clinic where he can continue doing what he loves most: caring for pets and the people who love them.
Dr. Greg can’t wait to meet you and your pet family!
